Electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) is the name given to the condition of having a sensitivity or allergy to electromagnetic fields. It manifests itself with the appearance of a number of symptoms in addition to a worsening of pre-existing health conditions.
EHS sufferers report significant adverse reactions to electromagnetic fields of intensities well below the maximum levels permitted by international radiation safety standards. The World Health Organisation reports that people have reported a variety of health problems related to EMF (electromagnetic field) exposure. Symptoms vary from mild to very severe, leading people to go from avoiding EMFs as much as possible, and even to stop working and change their lifestyle completely.
In October 2004, the WHO organised in Prague, in collaboration with the National Reference Laboratory for Non-Ionising Radiation and the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, a seminar and working group to discuss EMF hypersensitivity. The aim of the conference was to review the current state of knowledge, hear the views of the participants and provide information to help people with these symptoms.
These questionnaires will allow you to find out your level of electrosensitivity.
