WHAT DOES RADIATION SOUND LIKE?

Have you ever wondered what the radiation we are exposed to every day at home or at work sounds like?

The first time I listened to sound recordings of artificial non-ionising electromagnetic radiation that I enclose – such as WIFI, 3G, TETRA, GSM… – I was very surprised.

We pick up all these frequencies at the same time, although they are invisible and silent to the human ear Hence, the stressor effect they have on our brain. I want to share these sounds with you. Listen to them.

SOUNDS THAT STRESS OUR BRAIN AND HUMAN EARS DO NOT HEAR

HUMAN EAR

Our hearing cannot hear beyond 20,000 Hz, but our brain is sensitive and stressed at high frequencies, even if we are not aware of it. Humans perceive sounds in a frequency range between 20 Hz (lowest pitch) and 20,000 Hz (highest pitch).

INFRASOUND

We call infrasounds those below 20 Hz, although some animals hear them, elephants and mole rats being examples.

ULTRASOUNDS

Sounds above 20,000 Hz qualify as ultrasound, e.g. cats or dogs (up to 40,000Hz) and well above dolphins or bats (up to 160,000Hz).

Knowing what radiation sounds like may surprise you as it did me the first time I heard it.
